How do I pay for a verified certificate?
edX accepts payments through all major Credit/Debit Cards and PayPal.
Where does edX provide it’s services?
edX provides its services Worldwide.
Will I receive a tax form?
Since edX is a non-profit organization and is not considered an “accredited body” or an ”eligible educational institution” under IRS guidelines, and courses are not part of a matriculated degree program, they are unable to issue US 1098-T forms or other tax forms for the verified track enrollment fees.
Can I get a refund? What is the refund policy?
To receive a refund in a verified track course unenroll from the course within the refund eligibility period - 14 days after your purchase date or 14 days after your course starts, whichever comes later. (Up to a maximum of 180 days after your payment.)
Note: Refunds are not available after you have earned a certificate.
The refund is processed immediately when you unenroll within the refund window. Once processed the funds will post back to your original payment account in about 5 to 10 days. (Depending on your bank’s processes and location).
Does edX offer free certificates?
edX courses do not award free certificates in the audit track. Certificates are awarded only to passing students registered in the verified certificate track. The enrollment fee for this track varies by course.
edX introduced a financial assistance program to help learners who demonstrate financial need to earn verified certificates at a reduced cost.
